MEMBERSHIP
There shall be four classes of membership which shall be as follows:

  1. a.         FULL MEMBERSHIP. Shall be confined to RN Warrant Officer, Chief Petty Officer and Petty Officer Above Water Warfare (AWW) rates, Retired Gunnery Instructors, Missile and AWW Senior Rates. Senior RM ranks of any SQ who are involved in Military/Ceremonial duties. Serving and non-serving Gunnery Instructors. Missile and AWW Senior Rates who have been promoted to Commissioned Rank. Full members shall have full voting rights within the Association.
  2. b.         LIFE MEMBERSHIP. This may, with the approval of the Association, be conferred under special circumstances upon Full members. Full members who have attained the age of 75 years, who have been members for a minimum period of 5 years, shall be considered as being Life members. Life members shall have full voting rights within the Association.

c. HONORARY MEMBERSHIP.
This may be bestowed upon Leading Seamen/Petty Officer AWW Qualifying Course candidates including all those Leading Hands awaiting the Petty Officer AWW Qualifying Course and members of affiliated associations as approved by the Association.
The widow of any Full or Life Member of the Association will be automatically given
honorary membership.
Honorary members shall not be entitled to hold office within the Association, nor vote
upon any issue or in any election concerning the Association.

d. SOCIAL CLUB MEMBERSHIP. Social Club membership will be open to those who have benefited the Association by their services or support. However, the following conditions must be applied:
i.   They must be proposed and seconded by Full members of the Association who will be required to put their reason(s) why they should be considered for Social Club membership to the Committee.
ii.    The Committee will then vote on the proposed candidate. If the vote is in the candidate’s favour a period of 28 days will be allowed to elapse before the candidate is declared a Social Club member. During that period any Full member may lodge an objection to his/her suitability for membership to the Committee.
iii.   A Social Club member shall not be entitled to vote upon any issue or in any election concerning the Association.

  1. iv.         A Social Club member will subscribe the full amount paid annually by Full members. An identity Card will also be issued and can only be used to gain access to the Association Clubhouse/Lounge or functions held by the Association.
  2. v.         A Social Club member can apply to the Committee for use of the clubhouse private functions. A facility charge at the Full member rate will be required after the successful application. However, the Social Member sponsoring the event or function must be in attendance.

vi.   The Social Club membership is not to exceed 20% of the total Association membership. The right to renew yearly will only be accepted providing that payment of subscriptions is made by 31st January in the year that they are due.
vii.   All Social Club members and their guests will be required to abide by the Association rules and bylaws at all times. It is the right of the Committee to terminate membership and refuse entry to the Association/Clubhouse or function.
viii.   One Social Club member may be elected onto the Committee with full committee voting rights by a vote from the Full members of the Association.
ix.   A Social Club member may put his name forward for the post of Social Secretary of the Association. Voting will be from only Full members of the Association.
